For copyright purposes, the whole book will NOT be endng up online here; I put up the first 800 words for some feedback, cuz the opening paragraphs are the most important part. Most likely, once the book is written down, and I have gone back through it, editted it, etc, I will put some pieces up here if I can't quite work out why they don't seem right. And hopefully the feedback of readers will help me iron it out.
In other creative news, I have become interested in nail art. I really love having long nails... but that preference conflicts with my Jedi training something awful. Shinai training has torn off nails in the past, leaving me with bruises and blood.. and how many times have I broken a nail trying to throw a punch? So I came up with the idea that I could keep my nails short most of the time, and wear acrylics when I want to have "nice" looking nails. And then I thought, well, why not have fun with the acrylics then?? Being able to paint all 10 nails while they're sat on the table has turned out to be much easier, and I am hoping that as I get better, I will end up with some really awesome designs ^^ However, only time will tell, I guess...
On the small topic of Jedi training, the JRC is once again crying about how they should be allowed to be fat Jedi. You know, every time I hear it, I just wonder what Yoda would think if one of these ginormous fat men walked into the Jedi Temple and said, "Ahh, a Jedi does not have to physically capable of doing anything, really." I kind of feel Yoda would hit him rather hard. On the same topic, can you imagine Yoda walking into a class of lightsaber students and saying, "Well, put your lightsabers down today guys, I think we can skip today's class. I mean, you're never really going to need to know how to fight another saber combatant, so how about we all do some Reiki instead?"
I wonder what the fictional Jedi would really think of the raggedy bunch of misfits we have calling themselves Jedi in this world.
I made a cute bracelet once, with the letters WWQGD on them: What Would Qui-Gon Do? It's become an alternating thought of mine; I generally go between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan... And often add to it a WWYT: What Would Yoda Think?
Bracelet making is cool too... I recently made a really cute green and black wire/ bead bracelet. I wanted to post pictures up here, but alas, we moved house, and I am not sure where the camera is right now... Oh well, I'm sure that and other creations will eventually make their way here...
I got my hair cut too
